VTL Fam Trip Testimonial (23 – 25 Feb 2022)

We, New Century Tours Corporations Pte Ltd, have had the opportunity to visit Indonesia – Batam since the COVID-19 pandemic. Having been cooped up for almost 2 years, we finally can use the Vaccination Travel Lane (VTL) by sea for a mini getaway through Batam Tourism Industry.

The FAM trip allows us to travel to Indonesia, Batam without having to go through the hassle of quarantine stay at both ends (Batam and Singapore). Being the 1st batch to have such a wonderful opportunity for a quick getaway, we definitely feel excited and anxious about the whole process. Just being at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal, we can feel the excitement and anticipation for being able to bust out after these 2 years. Not to mention about the media, we surely made headline news in Singapore and Indonesia. Moreover, we are going to make use of it to offer to others about Batam as a tourism destination.

The journey from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to Turi Beach Resort, we were guided with efficiency, smooth process and quick procedure throughout. Not forgetting, we made headline news at Nongsa Terminal again.

We had a warm welcome drink and introduction by the Turi Beach hotel manager Zulkadni, followed by a high tea in the restaurant and quick check-in to our room. The breathtaking view in front of our room was the most memorable one. It took us down the old memory lane where we can relax and away from the hassle of city life. After which, we had a sumptuous dinner and in-house live band entertainment at the Kelong restaurant at Batam View Beach Resort.

The second day was a visit to Palm Springs, Nongsa Point Marina, Tering Bay and Montigo Resorts. Throughout the whole visit, we were well briefed of the bubble trip requirements and safety protocols during the pandemic. Though the resorts did not have much occupancy, the cleanliness and upkeep were still intact. We had lunch at Nongsa Point Marina, high tea at Tering Bay and some of our trips TA did have a hand-on to play with the golf club at Tering Bay. Last and not least, we had our farewell dinner at Montigo Resort.

In a day, we visited these few resorts. We were well taken care of and thanks to the FAM trip organiser, Mr Aris Latif and Batam Tourism Industry Bapak Anddy from Nongsa Sensation.

It was a wonderful trip and we definitely will spread words to all that it was worthy and not a bother to travel during the pandemic period.

We look forward to organizing and bringing more keen travellers to visit Indonesia, Batam again.
